Hello!
I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to join us on Sundays for
our worship service and Bible study. We
are a friendly church and we would be delighted to have you as our special
guest. I would consider it a great
privilege to be able to meet you personally.
On a personal note, I am 37 years of age and a native of Denver, Colorado.
I became a "born again" Christian in 1991 while serving in the United
States Marine Corps. God used a number of circumstances, particularly my time
in the Gulf War, to create a sense of urgency regarding eternal life. After
arriving back from my time in the Gulf I went to the phone center on base to
call my soon-to-be bride. Seated next to my phone was a pamphlet dealing with
spiritual matters so I picked it up and placed it in my pocket. Upon returning
back to the barracks I pulled out the pamphlet and studied the contents which
contained a clear presentation of the gospel (the gospel being the good news of
what God has done in order to rescue people from hell). There in my room I
asked God to save my soul from my sin.
After serving in the Marine Corps for six years I returned with my wife to Colorado. While actively
serving the Lord through the local church He began to place within my heart an
insatiable appetite to serve Him vocationally. Upon seeking counsel from our
pastor I pursued a Bible education to equip me for the pastorate. My formal
training includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible from Maranatha Baptist
Bible College,
Watertown, WI,
and a Master of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, Allen Park, MI.
In June 2004 I was ordained to the gospel ministry.
I am pleased to have the full support of my wife of fifteen years and the
children the Lord has blessed us with. My family and I are excited about
serving the Lord and we are committed to reaching our community for the glory
